Firebird FL
Innova fairway driver
Simulated flight at four arm speeds
Each row is one throw in the DGFV flight model at one of the free tool's skill presets (Rec, Int, Adv, Pro): a new Star Firebird FL at 175 g, thrown flat, right hand backhand, no wind.
| Skill preset | Speed | Carry | Peak height | Lands | 3D |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rec | 54 mph | 174 ft (53 m) | 5 ft | 6 ft left | Throw |
| Int | 61 mph | 274 ft (84 m) | 8 ft | 15 ft left | Throw |
| Adv | 64 mph | 331 ft (101 m) | 12 ft | 24 ft left | Throw |
| Pro | 70 mph | 412 ft (126 m) | 15 ft | 32 ft left | Throw |
Seen from above, thrower on the left. The side-to-side scale is stretched 2.1 times so the curve is visible.
What the simulation shows
- It shows no turn at any of the four arm speeds: the flight never drifts right of the line.
- At Adv it lands 24 ft left; at Pro, 32 ft left.
- Going from Rec to Pro adds 238 ft of carry (174 ft to 412 ft).
- At Adv its carry ranks 297 of 348 fairway drivers in the catalogue, and 18 of 23 Innova fairway drivers.

How these numbers were made
Flight numbers are the ratings carried in the DGFV disc catalogue. Distances, heights and paths come from the same flight model the free tool runs, simulated on 2026-10-31: skill preset power, nose angle and spin, automatic launch angle, no wind, ground play off, so carry is where the disc first lands. Real throws vary with form, plastic, weight and weather. DGFV is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Innova.
